Mount Si’s offense struggled mightily against Lakeside Saturday, and the Wildcat girls basketball team left with their third straight loss.
Mount Si shot just 18% from the floor (9-49) and fell 37-23 against the Lions in Seattle in what arguably may have been the worst offensive performance by the Wildcats in their three years under coach Megan Botulinski. The chief factor in those struggles was their top offensive threat, junior Molly Sellers, who went 0-12 from the floor. Senior Shelby Peerboom, though, had a nice game, scoring nine points and picking up 11 rebounds to lead Mount Si. But it was a tough day for the rest of the team, as everyone else found life difficult against the Metro League foe.
The Wildcats are home tomorrow for a 7:00 p.m. tip against Nathan Hale.
