Mount Si girls hoops wins nail-biter to finish play at Surf N’Slam tourney in San Diego

We’ll see if we can get some additional information for you from down in San Diego, but Mount Si High School’s girls’ basketball team has ended play at the Surf N’Slam tournament, and did so successfully – although it was a close one. Mount Si beat Hanover of Mechanicsville, VA, 55-54 in a game that just wrapped up a short time ago as of this writing (12:30pm). The Wildcats finished 2-1 in the tournament and are likely to finish in third place overall in the Slam Division of the event, depending on the results of games later today involving San Diego host school Mission Bay and two other Seattle-area teams in the bracket.

The Wildcats now return home and will resume Kingco 4A play following the holiday break.
