Mason Marenco’s 100th high school match win not enough for Wildcat grapplers as they fall at home on Senior Night

Mount Si High School’s wrestling team fell at home on Senior Night on Tuesday, but it was still a special one in particular for one of their members of the Class of 2017.

Mason Marenco pinned his Skyline opponent in their 170 lb. match, and that marked the Wildcat’s 100th career match victory as a high school competitor. But that was one of only a few highlights, as Mount Si went down 48-28 to the visiting Spartans.

Other winners for the Wildcats included Max Crowder (132 lbs.), Brennan Dalgleish (220), Duncan Harrison (145) and Mason’s brother Spencer Marenco (138).

Mount Si wraps up the regular season tonight at Skyline High School in Sammamish, meeting both Issaquah and Newport. The matches start at 6:00 p.m. at SHS.
