CHS alum competes in North Carolina college indoor track & field competition

Quick note from college indoor track and field today. We haven’t at all mentioned anything regarding North Carolina’s Brevard College and their Valley athlete this indoor season, that being senior Madison Smith, from Duvall and a 2013 Cedarcrest High School grad.

Brevard’s indoor season has been completed – they only competed in one indoor event and that happened earlier this month, on February 7. Smith was part of the Tornado team that competed at the Camel City Invitational meet in Winston Salem, and she finished 65th in the women’s 800m race at the event. Smith clocked two minutes, 57.68 seconds.

Smith and her Brevard teammates now await the start of their outdoor season next month.
