Toledano competes in NCAA college wrestling regional

Good Wednesday morning. Not much on the ledger this morning. We do, however, have a small note from college wrestling. The college career for a Valley wrestler ended this past weekend in the NCAA Division II regionals.

Minot State University senior Carlos Toledano, from Duvall and a 2013 Cedarcrest High School graduate, competed at 174 lbs. in the Division II Central regional, in Moorhead, MN.

Toledano was eliminated quickly, falling in both of the matches he competed in. He fell in his first round match to Minnesota State University-Moorhead’s Adam Blees in a 14-8 decision, then in his loser-out match, fell to Northern State’s Tanner Olson, in a 5-1 decision.

Minot finished 15th as a team in the event, with all other wrestlers from the school also having been eliminated during the course of the competition at other weight classes. St. Cloud State of Minnesota won the regional team title.
