We also have a soccer item this morning.

Linfield College’s men opened their season at home yesterday with a 1-0 exhibition loss to Concordia-Portland. A Valleyite saw action in the game for Linfield. Austin Bebee, a senior midfielder for the Wildcats, started there and played 66 minutes of the contest with no stats of note reported. Bebee is from Duvall and a Cedarcrest High School grad.

The regular season opens for the NCAA Division III team on Friday, as they begin a stretch of non-league games against teams from the NAIA’s Cascade Collegiate Conference. First up is Walla Walla, then they’ll be in Kirkland on Saturday to meet Northwest University’s men.
