Mount Si hoops openers postponed

We have breaking news on tonight’s Mount Si High School boys’ and girls’ basketball season openers. The school has postponed them due to an issue with one of the backboards. We are not entirely sure what the issue is, we are currently checking with Wildcat boys’ coaches on that, but we can tell you that during the preseason practices last week, one of the boards was damaged as a result of a slam dunk by a student in an incident that ended up being widely circulated on social media. Again, not sure if this was the issue or not, but we are checking on that now and will update you when we hear word. As for the games, they will be made up at a later date, and the status of future MSHS home games – including next Friday’s twinbill with Inglemoor – will be dependent on whether this is fixed quickly or not.
