CHS alum finds home with NCAA Division II baseball program

Another quick note from the diamond on this Monday, and that is Cedarcrest HS grad Andrew Willmon was at work on the hill yesterday for the Concordia College baseball team from Portland in their series finale down in San Marcos, CA, against Cal State San Marcos.

Willmon, a junior new to the Cavaliers after spending his first two years of college baseball at Columbia Basin College, worked an inning and struck out one, as Concordia fell 7-1 to CSSM.

This was the former Red Wolve’s second pitching appearance with the NCAA Division II school; his first came on February 10 at Lewis-Clark State over in Lewiston, ID, where he allowed a run without allowing a hit, hit three batters and struck out one. In both outings – yesterday’s and the one on the 10th – he received no decision.

Concordia has started out the season winless at 0-7.
