Mount Si girls’ soccer seeks community financial support through “crowd-funding” webpage

Mount Si High School’s girls’ soccer program is providing you an opportunity to help support the team, and in turn, local kids.

They have set up a “crowd-funding” page on the Snap-Raise platform and they are seeking donations. The program is looking to raise $5,000 and as of this writing, they have raised a little over 40% of that amount, around $2,100. You can donate in increments of up to $1,000, or donate an amount of your choosing.

Donations will be used to help support functions of the program, including such things as uniforms, equipment and travel costs, and will be used throughout the entire program, including varsity, junior varsity and “C”-level squads. As we told you on Sunday in our preview of the team, the program is experiencing tremendous growth this season, with 75 girls turning out and that number expected to grow in coming seasons thanks to a developing strong relationship between the program and the middle-school age girls’ teams within the local Cascade FC soccer club.

Donations are tax deductible and you will get a receipt for your contribution that will be necessary when it’s time to file your income taxes with the IRS next spring.
