Mount Si High School moves boys’ soccer home opener due to….snow…yes, snow…on the field still….and you’re probably saying, “Huh?”

We have just received some important news concerning tonight’s scheduled Mount Si High School boys’ soccer home opener against Lake Washington, which we just broke for you a while ago on our Twitter at @snovalleysports.

The game has been moved from Mount Si to Chief Kanim Middle School in Fall City. There is still snow on the field at MSHS and that has made field conditions poor, necessitating the move of the contest.

The game times remain the same – junior varsity at 5:30 p.m. and varsity at 7:30 p.m. and admission is expected to also still be charged for the game. Concessions will be available and you are also encouraged to dress warm as the stadium is not covered and it’s expected to be cool tonight.

Chief Kanim is located at 32627 SE Redmond-Fall City Rd. (SR 202) in Fall City. If you live in the Upper Valley and do not know where this is, here’s directions: Take SR 202 west to Fall City and go through downtown. Head west out SR 202 toward Redmond. On the left you will see a sign for the school. Turn left here and the parking lot and field will be in front of you. The entrance to the field will be at the south end by the school gym. Parking will be limited similar to what will be the case for games at MSHS this spring, so carpool if you can.
