Valley softball players factor for U14 team in split of yesterday’s action in Tacoma

The Issaquah Flame U14 Abraham girls’ fastpitch softball team split a pair of games in Tacoma yesterday.

In game one, all three Valley players on the team – North Benders Heather Hinton, Hannah Griffin and Tori Hellervik – all scored a run each and drove them in as well, one apiece, as Abraham downed Synergy 11-3. In the nightcap, it was much different, as both Hellervik and Hinton gave it their best, but had rough outings in the circle in a 9-2 IFA loss to Lady Narrows from Gig Harbor. Both Hellervik and Hinton pitched two innings each, with Hellervik giving up four runs on three hits and three walks, and Hinton giving up five runs on seven hits.
