Friday girls’ hoops wrap

Here’s a wrap on the girls’ hoops from yesterday:

-Mount Si started its first win streak of the season yesterday, winning its second in a row down at the Surf N’Slam tournament in San Diego. No stats from yesterday yet, but we can tell you the Wildcats beat Archer of Los Angeles 48-42.

We did, however, receive some stats on Thursday’s win, and as for their efforts there against Red Bluff, CA, Mount Si won despite shooting just 24% from the floor. Elizabeth Prewitt led the way with 16 points and eight rebounds, and senior Molly Sellers made her season debut after being out since the summer with a knee injury. Sellers finished with eight points. Katy Lindor had 10 points and seven rebounds to pace Mount Si’s cause.

-Cedarcrest’s girls used a big third quarter to outlast host Bellingham at the ProStock Winter Classic in Bellingham yesterday. More from the Bellingham Herald.
