Mount Si hoops wraps up action in San Diego

Here’s a wrap on yesterday’s final day of games for Mount Si’s boys and girls’ basketball teams in San Diego:

-Tyler McCreadie scored 23 points to lead the Wildcat boys to a win to close out the Under Armour Holiday Classic, over the Yale Secondary School out of Abbotsford, BC, Canada. Tyler Button, despite playing with an injured ankle, aided the efforts with 13 points for Mount Si in the 68-62 victory which ends their first half with a 6-4 record.

-No stats yet, but Mount Si’s girls fell last night in the Surf N’Slam tournament final to Philomath, OR, 43-40. The Wildcats return to league play with a 4-7 mark on the season.

We received stats from Friday’s win over Archer of Los Angeles, and it was all Elizabeth Prewitt for the Wildcats, as she had a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds in the 48-41 win. Katy Lindor herself was one point short of a double-double herself with nine points and 11 boards. Mount Si as a team collected a season-high 46 rebounds in the contest.

The boys likely will fly home today, while the girls spend a day at Disneyland today as part of their tournament activities before heading back tomorrow.
