Si View baseball camp schedule announced

Local baseball instructor Steve Goucher and Si View Metro Parks have announced their summer youth baseball camp schedule.

Goucher, a longtime scout and instructor, has taught youth baseball players in the Valley through his courses for the past few years, and he has announced two different camp offerings for local youth baseball players.

-The Summer Pro Baseball Jazz Clinic will have two separate sessions to choose from: June 18-21 or July 16-19. Each of the sessions, to be held at Chief Kanim Middle School in Fall City, cost $129 per camper, and will allow players a chance to learn higher level skills in all fundamentals of baseball, including, pitching, hitting, fielding and throwing. The sessions are Monday-Thursday from 10am-1pm.

-The Skills & Drills Baseball Class will take place over seven Fridays, from July 12 to August 23. The sessions are in the mornings from 10am-11:30am, also at CKMS. Players will work with Goucher on basic skills and fundamentals and be able to practice what they learn in game-like situations, helping them prepare for higher levels of play. The full seven week session costs $109.

You can register or get more information on either or both camps by calling Aaron Colby at Si View Metro Parks, (425) 831-1900, or by logging on to the Si View park website, which is at right in our news links.

We’ll have a full review of summer camp offerings for you that we have featured here in recent days on the blog later this week.
