College volleyball update….

Now to the volleyball.

Central Washington def. Alaska-Fairbanks 25-17, 25-22, 25-21 – Another strong night from a MSHS grad propelled CWU to the home victory in Ellensburg. Sophomore Catie Fry, from North Bend and a 2011 Mount Si alum, had 39 assists in addition to three kills, three digs, two aces and a block for the Wildcats.

St. Mary’s (TX) def Texas A&M International 25-17, 25-22, 25-14 – The Dustdevils fell again in a conference road match in San Antonio, despite 12 kills, three blocks, an assist and a dig from senior Miranda Pratt, a 2009 MSHS grad from North Bend.

San Diego State def. Nevada 25-15, 25-18, 25-13 – The Aztecs won on their home floor in San Diego over the visiting Wolfpack in a Mountain West clash, aided by eight kills, a block and a dig from senior Summer Nash, a former Mount Si player who now calls Seattle home.

Pacific Lutheran def. Willamette 25-17, 26-24, 25-17 – The Lutes took care of their conference rivals in a three-set road sweep. Sophomore Aubrey Larion, from North Bend and a 2011 MSHS grad, had three aces and two digs for the Lutes.

Portland State def. Montana State 21-25, 25-19, 25-17, 25-23 – The Bobcats fell on the road in Portland in a Big Sky contest against the host Vikings. Action was very limited for MSU’s Valley rep, junior Zoe Gogan from Fall City and a 2011 MSHS grad, who only played in one set of the contest, with no stats of note.
