Former Mount Si track and field stars race in college indoor meet

Also a note on this Sunday from indoor track and field. A pair of Mount Si High School grads ran events in the University of Washington’s indoor season preview meet yesterday in Seattle.

First, Husky junior Hannah Waskom, from Snoqualmie, raced in the women’s 3000m distance run and took 15th in her section of the race, clocking 9:47.92 and ending up with a mid-pack overall finish. Also, Concordia-Portland senior Karlie Hurley, from North Bend, ran the women’s 400m dash, and took fourth in her section, with a time of 58.89. She also aided the Cavs in the women’s 4×400 relay, and that foursome won their heat, clocking 3:55.92.

Good stuff and we’ll have more throughout the season.
