CHS boys hoops advances to district round of eight

As promised, we have some stats now from last night’s Cedarcrest High School boys’ basketball playoff game, and things went very well for the Red Wolves.

It was Nicolo Cammarano’s night as he hit six three-pointers on the way to a game-high 24 points for Cedarcrest as they dispatched Archbishop Murphy 55-43 at home in Duvall and advanced into the round of eight in the Northwest 2A District playoffs. They’ll meet Lynden in Lynden tomorrow night in their quarterfinal matchup.

Zach Ingle led Murphy with 11 points. Sage Oliveira, who was expected to be the top offensive threat for the Wildcats, was held to two points.

Tomorrow night’s game against the Lions in Lynden is at 7:00 p.m.
