College news….

Since we were on hiatus over the weekend, we have some college action to get to. We will have full wraps on the Mount Si hoops action from yesterday a bit later on.

Cal Lutheran women’s basketball splits pair in home tournament
The California Lutheran University women’s basketball team went 1-1 in their holiday tournament which they hosted over this past weekend in Thousand Oaks, CA, winning last night after falling in their opener last Saturday.

Last night, the Lady Regals rolled to a 78-50 win. Freshman Katy Lindor, a 2013 Mount Si High School grad from Snoqualmie, logged 13 minutes off the bench for CLU, scoring four points on 2-4 from the floor (0-1 from three-point range) and she also collected one rebound. Lindor had limited minutes in the game last Saturday, a 77-59 CLU loss to UC Santa Cruz. She was 0-1 from the floor in that contest.

William Jessup men’s hoops falls to SOU
The William Jessup University men’s basketball team returned from their holiday break last night and fell at home in Rocklin, CA, to Southern Oregon, 70-58. Junior Justin Downer, from North Bend and a 2010 MSHS alum, had limited minutes off the bench for WJU and was 0-3 from the floor (0-2 from beyond the three-point line).
