College update

Friday college news notes:

Western Athletic Conference track and field indoor championships, Moscow, ID – University of Idaho junior women’s thrower Molly Meyers, from North Bend and a MSHS grad, competed in the first of her two scheduled events yesterday at the WAC indoor meet. Meyers finished 11th overall in the women’s shot put, with a toss of 38 feet, 11 ½ inches. Meyers is expected to compete in the weight throw event later on today at the meet, being hosted by the Vandals.

Lindor’s first college hoops season ends with CLU loss – California Lutheran University’s women’s basketball team saw its season come to an end last night, but they left it all out on the floor as they rallied to make things interesting late before falling to top-seed Chapman 72-68 in Orange, CA. The loss for the Regals ends their 2013-14 campaign at 13-13, and with it the first college hoops season for freshman Katy Lindor, she from Snoqualmie and a 2013 MSHS grad. Lindor collected three rebounds in eight minutes of action, and she finished averaging three points and four rebounds a contest averaging 15 minutes of action per game this season, in which she played all 26 contests.
