Good morning. We have one item this morning, and it comes from college women’s soccer, where a Mount Si High School grad made her college debut on the pitch last night.

Lauren Solene, from Fall City and a freshman this fall at St. Peter’s University in New Jersey, saw action in goal for the Peacocks in their 4-0 season opening home loss to Lafayette in Jersey City, NJ. Solene came into the game in relief of starting goalkeeper Taylor McLean in the 69th minute, and played the final 21 minutes of the contest. Solene allowed one goal on four shots, making two saves in her short stint. She recorded a no-decision (McLean was credited with the loss).

Solene graduated back in June from Mount Si and was part of the Wildcat varsity girls’ soccer team during the 2012 season.
