Mount Si boys’ golf wins at home

Mount Si High School’s boys’ golf team scored a home win at Mount Si Golf Course in Snoqualmie yesterday, defeating the Bothell Cougars.

Alex Nelson and Jimmy Jacobson shared medalist honors, both firing rounds of 37 as the Wildcats rolled to the 190-214 victory (lower score wins). Joe Steenvoorde carded a 38 to pace Mount Si, while Gavin Gorrell, Jake Karavias and Mitchell Dover all fired 39’s to add to the cause.

Bothell was led by the 40’s from Jason Borgida and Ryan Hunt.

Mount Si, now at .500 in Kingco at 3-3 on the season, is at Redmond next Tuesday for a match at Bear Creek Golf and Country Club.
