From the college women’s soccer front…..

Time now for our college look from yesterday. We’re talking women’s soccer this morning.

Northern Arizona 1, Sacramento State 0: High in the northern Arizona mountains lies Flagstaff, and that’s where yesterday’s game took place between the visiting Hornets and host Lumberjacks, won by the home side; sophomore Maggie Pleis, from Carnation and a 2012 Cedarcrest HS grad, started up front for Sacto and saw 79 minutes of action, with one shot on goal that did not go in.

LIU Brooklyn 4, St. Peter’s 1: St. Peter’s freshman goalie Lauren Solene made five saves, but the 2014 MSHS grad from Fall City also allowed all four LIUB goals as the Peacocks fell yet again on home turf in Jersey City, NJ.

Whitworth 1, Pacific-OR 0: The visiting Pirates took care of the Boxers in Forest Grove, OR; freshman Leah Corra, also a 2014 Mount Si alum but from Snoqualmie, logged 14 minutes of action for Whitworth off the bench with no stats to report.

Puget Sound 5, Willamette 2: Spokane senior Lauren Hamilton, who has family living within the Valley, logged 14 minutes of action off the bench for UPS in their home conference win over the Bearcats yesterday in Tacoma.
