Mount Si High School announces upcoming event aimed at college-bound students and families, including athletes

We, in our Athlete of the Week segment this morning, mentioned a small bit about an upcoming Mount Si High School event that if you are a parent of a Mount Si student and have a son or daughter who either is interested in going to college or is a current student-athlete who would like to play college sports, you may be interested in.

The event is called the “College and Career Night” and it is scheduled for Tuesday, October 7, at the high school and is open to MSHS students and their families. The event runs from 6-8 pm inside the school’s Main Campus at 8651 Meadowbrook Way SE in Snoqualmie, and a number of topics will be discussed, including information on how to be cleared for athletic eligibility as a college freshman by the NCAA Eligibility Center clearinghouse. Students and parents are encouraged to attend these presentations that will hopefully give you the information you need in order to make the transition from high school to college and adult life more smoothly.

For more information, contact the high school counseling offices at (425) 831-8150 or you can contact MSHS counseling center career specialist Kellie Essig directly at (425) 831-8116.
