Mount Si girls’ tennis update

Mount Si High School’s girls’ tennis team scored a win Monday over Bothell. The Wildcats took six out of seven matches contested, missing out on a sweep after singles player Regan Baltasar had to end her match early with a loss due to an injury default.

In singles, Hannah Jones rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 sweep over Bothell’s Sea-Eun Lee, and Jones’ win was followed up in singles action for Mount Si with wins by both Emily Schwabe and Stephanie Miles. All three Mount Si doubles pairs – the units of Kerry Pemberton/Amber Caudle, Emily Johns/Lauren McCallum, and Sierra Crowe/Allie Urbasich – took wins in solid outings over their Cougar foes.

Last week, on April 21, Mount Si played Woodinville, with the Falcons winning all seven matches to take the meet. The doubles pair of Ashley Coles and Katie Larson gave a solid effort, rallying from a 6-0 loss in their first set against Woodinville’s Arishwarya Manoharan and Julienne Renne to take set two, but the Falcon duo won set three 10-8 to take that match.

Mount Si is scheduled to compete today.
