Athletes of the Week for 5-13

We’ll try to get to yesterday’s action for you later, but we have our Athletes of the Week for you this week, as we go back to the boys.

CEDARCREST – The Red Wolves’ boys’ golfers are in their postseason, and the reason we’ve been delayed this week in getting this to you is because we haven’t yet recognized anyone from their program and information about matches has been a bit hard to come by. But this will be a shared award this week, as two of their top athletes shined at Monday’s league meet in Snohomish. Both Gredigan Wade and Mitchell Frimodt fired 79’s to finish in a tie for fourth at the league tournament, and both players have been leading the way this spring for the Red Wolves. Look for them to make a nice run at districts next week.

MOUNT SI – Mount Si’s boys’ lacrosse program has struggled once again this season as a member of the WHSBLA’s Division I, but leading the way for the Wildcats this spring has been Benjamin Lomas, and he gets our recognition this week. Lomas has 19 goals and nine assists on the season, as the Wildcats are hovering near the bottom of the Kingco standings at 3-13-0, 3-9-0 league, in advance of their season finale tomorrow night at Auburn Riverside.
