Mount Si program, players recognized by Kingco 4A in softball postseason awards

The Kingco 4A Conference has released postseason awards for softball, and Mount Si High School’s players were recognized.

Senior outfielder Paige Wetherbee received the lone first team all-league honor for the Wildcats. Wetherbee hit .318 this season, smacking three home runs and driving in 16 for Mount Si, who finished 7-16 on the season, their first as a Kingco 4A member.

Maddy Trout earned the Wildcats’ lone second-team all-league designation, while four others – infielders Kara Link and Nellie Joselyn, pitcher Claire Lis and outfielder Lexi Wetherbee – all earned league honorable mention.

Mount Si also earned the league’s sportsmanship award this spring.

The SVSJ congratulates the Wildcats and their players on their recognition.
