Good Sunday morning. We have a lot to get to this morning. We’ll get to yesterday’s Mount Si and Cedarcrest cross country action coming up, and some news from the Wildcat football program as well, but we have a soccer wrapup for you first.

Cedarcrest freshman makes statement in Cascade Conference win
The Cedarcrest Red Wolves scored a home conference win over South Whidbey in Duvall yesterday afternoon thanks to a big day from freshman Sarah Hommas. Find out what Hommas did for CHS in the 7-0 blowout in the Everett Herald.

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men 0, Pomona Pitzer 0 (2OT): The rivalry battle between the two schools finished with a draw last night in southern California; junior Alex Censullo, from North Bend, started for CMS and played 83 minutes, recording four shots, two on goal, with no goals scored. He is a 2013 Mount Si HS grad.

Seattle U. women 1, Utah Valley 1 (2OT): Freshman Karli White hadn’t scored a goal in two weeks for the Redhawks, so she was due, and she popped one home for SU in last night’s WAC opener in Orem, UT; the goal, in the 72nd minute, tied the game after the host Wolverines scored first, in the 63rd minute. White, from North Bend and a 2015 MSHS grad, started and played 105 minutes, recording five shots, two on goal, and the tally now makes her the top scorer on the Redhawks thus far, with four goals and two assists for 5-2-2 Seattle U.

Seattle Pacific men 1, Concordia-PDX 1 (2OT): In Seattle, the Falcons and Cavaliers finished in a draw in GNAC play; junior Davis Karaica, from Snoqualmie and a 2012 Mount Si HS grad, started on defense for SPU and logged all 110 minutes, with no stats of note to report.

Concordia-PDX women 0, MSU Billings 0 (2OT): The GNAC contest in Billings, MT, between the host Yellowjackets and the visiting Cavs ended in a draw; freshman Karlie Hurley, from North Bend and a 2015 Mount Si HS grad, played 23 minutes off the bench for Concordia with one shot recorded. The shot did not reach goal.

Northwest Nazarene 2, St. Martin’s men 1: The Saints fell to their GNAC rivals at home in Lacey. Freshman Connor Williams, from North Bend and a 2015 MSHS grad, started for SMU up front and played 54 minutes, with no stats of note.

USC 2, Oregon State women 1: The Beavers fell on the road in Los Angeles to the Trojans in the Pac-12 contest; senior defender Gwen Bieck, from Duvall and a 2012 Cedarcrest HS grad, started for OSU and worked all 90 minutes, with no stats of note to report.

Pacific Lutheran men 2, Whitman 0: The Lutes started the weekend eastern Washington conference swing with a shutout of the Missionaries in Walla Walla; sophomore defender Aaron Baumgardner, from North Bend and a 2014 Mount Si HS alum, started and played all 90 minutes with no stats of note for PLU.
