Last night on the pitch…..

Quick look at soccer. We’ll try to get you a golf wrapup later from Mount Si’s boys’ match yesterday against Bothell.

-Cedarcrest scored a 1-0 road win last night at Granite Falls, which helps maintain their hold on top spot in the 2A Cascade Conference (5-1 league, 5-3 overall). The loss was Granite’s first on the season; they are now 3-1-1 in league, 4-1-1 overall. No stats were reported.

-Mount Si picked up a key 2-1 road win last night at Skyline. The win is the Wildcats’ first this fall in Kingco 4A play, and could mean big dividends potentially as the season wears on. Mount Si is now 4-2-2 overall on the season. We’ll try to get a game report on this win for you later.

College score:

Pacific Lutheran men 2, Trinity Lutheran 0: PLU scored a historic home win last night in Tacoma, as their head coach, John Yorke, won his 150th career game with the Lutes as head man. According to the school, that now makes him the winningest coach for men’s soccer in school history, so we offer our congrats to the coach on that accomplishment. North Bend’s Aaron Baumgardner was part of the win as well for PLU; the sophomore and 2014 MSHS grad saw action off the bench for the Lutes with no stats of note to report.
