Wildcat boys’ golf earns road league win

From golf, we have some good news to report from the Mount Si boys’ golf team, as they opened their week yesterday with a road victory over Bothell.

Alex Nelson fired a 37 to take medalist round honors for low score of the match as the Wildcats took care of the Cougars, 199-217 (lower score wins) at Mill Creek Country Club in Snohomish County. Nelson’s medalist honor was the fourth straight this season for a Mount Si golfer, and the senior’s first of the fall. Collin Anderson and Jake Brady carded 40’s to pace the Wildcats, while Mitchell Dover and Nick McAllister both added rounds of 41 to the Mount Si efforts.

Nelson, Dover, McAllister, Anderson, Jake Karavias and Jimmy Jacobson will all be recognized tomorrow as the six seniors play their final home match for the Wildcats, as Mount Si hosts Redmond. The match tees off around 3:30 tomorrow afternoon at Mount Si Golf Course in Snoqualmie.
