Mount Si alum scores first coaching win of season in Florida

Last night was a nice night for former Mount Si girls’ basketball star Rachel Mitchell, as the high school team she coaches in Florida scored its first win of the season.

The Episcopal High School of Jacksonville, FL, Eagles girls basketball squad traveled across town to play Eagle’s View Academy and left with a 49-16 blowout over the host Warriors, putting Episcopal’s mark at 1-2 on the season. The win by the Eagles came after two losses to open the season, last week against both Fernandina Beach and Terry Parker (Jacksonville).

Mitchell is in her second season as Episcopal coach. She graduated from Mount Si several years ago and went on to have a solid college career with Northwest University in Kirkland.
