There was one college game last night involving Valley grads, and it was down in Portland at the Chiles Center, as the University of Portland’s men’s basketball team hosted Lewis and Clark College, a small NAIA school also located in the Rose City.
Sophomore Tanner Riley, 2010 Mount Si grad from North Bend, once again contributed a nice effort to help the Pilots score a 76-64 win over LCC, of the Cascade Collegiate Conference. Riley was 3-9 from the floor (1-5 from three-point range) in 26 minutes of action off the bench and finished with seven points. This effort comes off a dream night for the Valley native last Saturday night on the historic floor at Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY. In that game, played against the University of Kentucky, Riley scored 14 points but the Pilots fell 87-63.
