This past Saturday saw Mount Si High School’s cross country team travel to Ellensburg for the Ellensburg Invitational, a meet which we had coverage of for you here yesterday. But not only were current Wildcats racing there as well, but one former MSHS distance track athlete was, with her college team as well. And it made for a mini-reunion of sorts.

Western Washington University freshman women’s cross country runner Madeleine Hutchison, of Snoqualmie and a 2014 MSHS alum, raced in her first college event, the Central Washington University Invitational, which took place following the high school meet, and finished a strong 13th place overall. Witnessing the race were Mount Si athletes Lindsey Sydnor, Jackson Stokes and Hannah Waskom, along with lead cross country assistant coach Sean Sundwall. The photo above shows the four past and present Wildcat distance runners together following the college race.
