Club soccer team featuring Mount Si player scores big tournament win

A team featuring a Mount Si boys’ soccer star won a big tournament title this past weekend.

The Eastside FC U18 Red team coached by Mark Kovats and which features Mount Si senior Chace Carlson won the U-19 division of the Puma Pacific Coast Challenge tournament in Bellingham. Yesterday, Bellevue-based Eastside took care of Three Rivers U-18 Pardini out of the Tri-Cities 3-1 to grab the title.

Overall, Eastside went 4-1 in the tournament with their only loss being in pool play Saturday to a team from Renton.
