Mount Si High School’s wrestling team had a solid performance at the Kingco 4A tournament, an event that started late Friday afternoon and was completed yesterday at Issaquah High School. The Wildcats finished as runners-up to the Eagles for the conference title, scoring 203 ½ points. Issaquah won the title scoring 243 ½ points.

Mount Si entered 22 wrestlers in the tournament and of those, 10 made it to regionals, led by two weight class champions. Mark Mulligan stormed through three opponents to take the crown at 170 lbs., pinning Redmond’s Alex Kudryashov to win it all, and Andrew Harris rolled through his competition at 220 lbs. to take the title there. He pinned all three of his foes, with the last pin being of Bothell’s Colton Moser to grab the top spot.
Three wrestlers – Duncan Harrison (120), Justin Edens (152) and Mason Marenco (145) – earned runner-up spots in their weight classes, while several others, among them Henry Foster (113), Cameron McLain (195) and Kurtis Olson (160), also earned regional trips.
